
Leah Stahl is a photographic artist and educator, currently residing in Dayton, Ohio.
Her concepts are influenced by themes involving memory, space, perception, place in time, and transformation. Leah combines both traditional and experimental techniques in her practice including film-based photography, nineteenth century processes, pinhole photography, and various digital approaches.
After completing her B.A at Columbia College, Chicago, she worked in the design industry and was a successful freelance photographer, while placing priority on raising her family.
In 2012, she received her M.F.A from the University of Cincinnati, DAAP. She has exhibited and published nationally. She has taught at Antioch college, Sinclair Community College, and the University of Cincinnati.
Leah is currently Co-chair of the Photography at Stivers School for the Arts in Dayton, Ohio, and an adjunct professor at Wittenberg University.
